Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney reveal plan to get ‘queen bee’ Taylor Swift at Wrexham to host an event – with plot involving NFL superstar Travis Kelce and brother Jason Kelce
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have revealed their plan to get “queen bee” Taylor Swift at a Wrexham game – with Travis Kelce part of the plot.
The Hollywood actors have welcomed plenty of famous faces to SToK Racecourse since taking ownership of the Red Dragons in 2021. Hugh Jackman, Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell and Charlie Day are among the A-list names to have visited North Wales, alongside Blake Lively and Kaitlin Olson – the respective partners of Reynolds and McElhenney.
More celebrity guests are expected in the months and years to come, with Wrexham seeing their stock soar on the back of an Emmy Award-winning documentary series. Pop superstar Swift could be among the next to arrive, with Reynolds having already attended an NFL game alongside her – courtesy of a friendship struck up by his wife Blake – while Philadelphia native McElhenney is close with former Eagles star Jason Kelce.
Quizzed on whether they intend to get Swift to a Wrexham match at some stage, Reynolds told The Dan Patrick Show: “That would be a coup… yeah, I would love that.”
McElhenney added: “I know for sure that the Kelce brothers are coming out to a game, so it’s just a matter of time.”
Reynolds signed off by saying: “That’s our backdoor plan. That’s how you lure the queen bee.”
