Old but Gold: Fans Melt Over Video of Older Couple Dancing at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour— ‘Sweetest Thing Ever’
While there have been plenty of sweet and touching moments throughout Taylor Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour, one particular moment between an older couple in their own world at an Edinburgh concert has fans all in the feels.
A Swiftie took to TikTok to share the clip, writing, “This couple during Betty ❤️,” and noting that it took place during the second night of Swift’s time in Scotland.
In the video, a couple grooved to Swift’s song “Betty” from her album Folklore, with the man and woman smiley brightly as they twirled hand in hand.
It looked like they might’ve attended with their child, as they smiled at and spoke with a younger fan standing next to them. The three fans had some space around them to stand and enjoy the music, with many nearby audience members transfixed by Swift.
“Timeless music transcends generation 🥹,” wrote one touched fan, while others commented on the video saying, “They’re having the time of their lives 😭😭,” and “Sobbing 😭.”
One person joked, “Taylor and Travis in 20 years 😏,” while someone else declared, “If this isn’t what my future marriage looks like then I don’t want it.”
“Seeing people dance in the crowd make my heart so happy 🫶🏼,” wrote a different Swiftie, as the top-liked comment said, “I have seen so many videos of people in the very back having the absolute time of their life’s I love it 🥹.”
Meanwhile, one X, formerly Twitter, user declared the clip was the “sweetest thing ever.”
The Edinburgh shows were filled with memorable moments, such as when Swift stopped singing during her performance of “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” to highlight a fan who needed help, saying that she would keep playing the guitar while they waited for security to reach them.
She also saw a couple of fans who got engaged during an Edinburgh concert and couldn’t help but call it out, sharing how happy she was to see it because usually, it’s too dark during her concerts to see the audience.
