Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Step Out Together in Nottingham, But Meghan’s Surprising Fashion Choice Has Everyone Looking Twice!
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have stepped out together in Nottingham, England, and while their joint appearance has attracted plenty of attention, it was Meghan’s unexpected fashion choice that quickly became a major talking point!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first joint public appearance in the United Kingdom since returning from California in August, visiting several community organisations in Nottingham on October 15, 2026.
The couple received a warm welcome from crowds of excited well-wishers who gathered to catch a glimpse of them. Smiling and appearing relaxed, Harry and Meghan greeted members of the public, exchanged hugs, shook hands and posed for photographs.
However, Meghan’s outfit was one detail that fashion watchers couldn’t overlook.
Rather than choosing an entirely new fashion direction for the occasion, the Duchess stepped out in a striking burgundy ensemble featuring a long Joseph coat, a matching high-neck top, a skirt from The Fold London and elegant heels by Jennifer Chamandi.
Her decision to wear an outfit made entirely from British fashion labels was particularly interesting.
But there was an even more surprising detail behind her wardrobe choice!
Meghan’s Joseph pieces appeared to carry a special connection to Nottingham. The British fashion label was also part of the outfit she wore during her first official public appearance alongside Prince Harry in the same city back in December 2017, shortly after their engagement announcement.
Nearly nine years later, the Duchess returned to Nottingham with her husband, wearing the same designer brand in what many fashion observers could interpret as a subtle fashion callback to that important moment in their relationship.
And that wasn’t all.
During the visit, the couple stopped at the Community Recording Studio in St Ann’s, where they met young people participating in creative programmes and listened to a young singer perform an original song.
Meghan appeared particularly delighted by the performance, encouraging the young musician, while Harry also offered words of support.
The Sussexes subsequently visited Himmah Hub, a community organisation supporting people experiencing food poverty, as well as Epic Partners, which works with young people through sports, education and mentoring programmes.
Their Nottingham appearance was especially meaningful because the city holds a special place in their relationship. It was also where they made their first joint public appearance as an engaged couple in 2017.
Although Harry and Meghan are no longer working members of the British Royal Family, their return to Nottingham attracted considerable public and media attention.
And with Meghan’s carefully selected burgundy outfit, her connection to British designers and the sentimental fashion reference to 2017, the Duchess certainly gave royal fashion watchers plenty to discuss.
But what do you think of Meghan’s Nottingham look? Was her decision to revisit a designer connected to her first public appearance with Harry a beautiful nod to their history, or would you have preferred to see her try something completely different?
One thing is certain: Meghan and Harry’s Nottingham appearance has given royal watchers another moment to talk about!
