“Baby No. 1”: Kansas City Is Buzzing As Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Confirm They’ve Welcomed Their First Child

Kansas City, MO — Chiefs Kingdom is absolutely glowing this morning after the power couple of sports and pop culture, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, officially confirmed the arrival of their first child.
In a surprise post shared across both of their Instagram accounts at exactly 9:13 a.m. (a nod to Swift’s favorite number), the couple announced:
> “He’s here — healthy, happy, and already obsessed with footballs and guitars. Our hearts are full. Love, Taylor, Travis, and Baby K.”
The announcement was paired with a soft black-and-white photo showing just the newborn’s tiny hand gripping Kelce’s finger, with a baby Chiefs beanie in the background and a custom “Swiftie Jr.” onesie nearby.
Though the couple had kept the pregnancy mostly private, speculation had been growing for months after Swift briefly paused her “Eras World Tour (Encore)” in early 2025 and Kelce was seen attending OB-GYN visits during the offseason.
Fans across Kansas City have erupted in celebration. Union Station lit up in red and gold, and dozens have gathered outside GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, placing flowers, balloons, and adorable baby gifts at the gates.
The city’s mayor has already proposed an honorary “Baby Kelce Day,” and rumors swirl about a new mural in the Crossroads district featuring the family of three.
