Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has to do more than catch touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes to impress Taylor Swift. When quizzed on how he would woo his girlfriend on a romantic evening, his go-to date night meal lacked originality.

Kelce’s frightened reaction to the initial question made it clear that cooking is not his strong suit: “I’m cooking?! Oh sh*t!”

He settled on a dish he “just recently found out how to make,” leaving a fan who posted the video on X, formerly Twitter, to ask where he got the idea. “Hmmmm I wonder from who,” said a Travis Kelce fan page with a clear Swiftie influence.

The Tayvis stans online seemed to agree that Taylor must have taught him how to cook the meal. They found it endearing, despite the lack of authenticity.

“Ladies: when your man is willing to let you teach him new things, it’s a wrap. He loves you. He’s still probably not gonna listen to your instructions though.,” said one funny comment.

Cooking is a sacred activity for the famous couple. Swift made headlines when she posted a TikTok video with a short clip of them “cooking” together, but it was clear she did most of the work. Travis kissed her on the cheek while she was mixing the food.

The Chiefs star was asked last week what they like cooking together, and he was hesitant to answer publicly because he “thoroughly enjoys” cooking with Swift in an intimate setting. However, he teased the reporters at the end of the press conference by shouting out how good her pop tarts and cinnamon rolls are.

His answer of homemade lemon garlic shrimp pasta may not have impressed everyone, but it proved that his relationship with Swift is teaching him new things and helping him grow as a person.
