Travis Kelce wants to be a broadcaster, aka a talking head that calls the games, after he retires.
Because I want to broadcast when I’m done playing,” Travis Kelce said.
“You want to broadcast. You’re saying that right now, you want to broadcast,” Jason Kelce replied.
Travis Kelce affirmed his plans, and Jason Kelce then asked him what he exactly wanted to do. Travis Kelce then mimicked the cadence of an old-timey, 1930s-style radio announcer.
“I want to be right here and tell them about the game, the old ball coach, ladies and gentlemen,” he said. “I want to do that. I want to be the talking head that calls the games.”
Jason Kelce is already on that path since retiring from the Philadelphia Eagles after this past season. He will be an analyst on “Monday Night Countdown,” ESPN’s pregame show ahead of “Monday Night Football” this fall.

In addition to being a co-host of the popular “New Heights,” Travis Kelce has also dipped a toe into broadcasting in other areas. He hosted “Saturday Night Live” in 2023 and is set to host the game show “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” on Prime Video.
He’s also taking a stab at acting with an appearance in creator Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX horror series “Grotesquerie.”
Travis Kelce is also trying out the restaurant business. It was announced in March that he’s opening a Kansas City steakhouse called 1587 Prime with superstar teammate Patrick Mahomes, according to a press release from global hospitality group Noble 33.
In the middle of all that, he can be found jetting off to see girlfriend Taylor Swift at one of her international concerts on her “Eras Tour.”
