Patrick Mahomes Attends British Grand Prix with Alpine F1 Team
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been making the most of his offseason, and his latest adventure took him to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. As an investor in the Alpine F1 team, Mahomes was a special guest of the team and got to experience the high-octane action up close.
Mahomes, who invested $220 million in the Alpine F1 team alongside teammate Travis Kelce, was seen mingling with the team and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the operations. He even took to the grid to hype up the crowd, saying “What’s up, Alpine fans? It’s great to see everybody, we’re back at the British Grand Prix, let’s go do it!”
The British Grand Prix is one of the most iconic races on the F1 calendar, and Mahomes was thrilled to be a part of it. “I’m kind of getting a free three weeks to go over to Europe. We’re going to bounce around…I’m going to Wimbledon, and I’m gonna go to the British Grand Prix…It’s going to be really cool to experience some of those things and get to see a whole another side of the world,” he said on the “Riggle’s Picks” podcast.
Mahomes’ investment in the Alpine F1 team is not just a passive one. He’s been actively involved with the team, and his presence at the British Grand Prix was a testament to his commitment. With Flavio Briatore at the helm as special advisor, Mahomes will be keen to see how his investment performs in the coming races.
The Chiefs quarterback’s love for F1 is not new. He and Kelce were spotted at the Miami Grand Prix earlier this year, and they’ve been vocal about their passion for the sport. Mahomes’ presence at the British Grand Prix was a reminder that he’s not just a one-trick pony – he’s a sports enthusiast who loves the thrill of competition, whether it’s on the gridiron or the racetrack.
As Mahomes returns to Kansas City for training camp, he’ll be bringing back memories of his European adventure and the thrill of the British Grand Prix. And who knows? Maybe he’ll be back on the grid soon, cheering on his Alpine F1 team to victory.
