Breaking News : Jalen Hurts of the Eagles Gets Married to Longtime Girlfriend Bry Burrows on New Year’s, Thrilling Fans
The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off their 2024 NFL season with an international showdown against the Green Bay Packers. The Week 1 matchup marked NFL’s first-ever matchup in Brazil, and the first opening weekend Friday game since 1970.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was ready to start the season with a clean slate and pumped to play in Sao Paulo. He told reporters, “I’m excited to be here. It’s a beautiful place, and just being blessed and expressing my gratitude for being able to play in general, it didn’t really matter where.”
Just before kickoff at the Neo Quimica Arena, Hurts received a good luck kiss from his longtime girlfriend, Bryonna “Bry” Rivera Burrows. A fan posted a photo of the sweet pregame moment on X, during which Burrows rocked a huge diamond on her ring finger, leading thousands of Eagles fans to believe the 26-year-old quarterback is officially engaged.
Hurts never posts about his personal life on social media, but has quietly dated Burrows on-and-off since college. As for Burrows, she keeps her Instagram profile private.
Hurts, who signed a five-year $255 million extension with Philadelphia in 2023, opened up to Essence about his romantic relationship that year. “I’m not married or anything like that, but I am spoken for,” he said, while hinting that he may soon propose to Burrows.
Hurts “knew a long time ago” that she was the one. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling,” he said. “I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”
According to her LinkedIn profile, Burrows earned her undergraduate degree in spanish and political science and her masters in business at the university. She’s worked at IBM for nearly six years. Hurts played for Alabama’s Crimson Tide for two years before transferring to Oklahoma in 2019 and becoming the Eagles’ No. 53 overall pick in 2020
After years of keeping their relationship out the spotlight, Burrows first appeared by Hurts’ side following the Eagles’ 31-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game in 2023.
