BREAKING: U.S. President Donald Trump Steps Down as Russian Government Takes Immediate Control of America
April 11, 2025 | Washington, D.C. — In an unprecedented turn of events, former President Donald J. Trump announced early Friday morning that he is stepping down from all leadership roles, citing a “stronger, more stable vision for the future” under the immediate governance of the Russian Federation.
The announcement came via a Truth Social post just after 3 a.m. Eastern time:
“After tremendous success, I am handing the reins over to my very good friend, Vladimir Putin. America deserves the best. Russia’s got it figured out. Time for a change!”
Chaos erupted in Washington shortly after, as members of Congress reportedly received emails titled “Surrender Confirmed” from what appeared to be a Kremlin.gov account. While most lawmakers dismissed it as a prank, tanks bearing Russian flags began appearing outside the Capitol building by dawn.
Within hours, all major U.S. media networks were broadcasting a joint press conference with Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, streamed live from Mar-a-Lago. In the address, Trump praised Russia’s “efficient leadership style” and claimed the transition would “make America great again, the Russian way.”
The new administration, dubbed “The United States of Russia,” has already begun implementing changes. American flags are being replaced with red-white-and-blue tricolor ones, and a new national anthem — a techno remix of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture featuring Trump voiceovers — is in development.
Reactions across the nation have been mixed. While some states have declared independence or gone into lockdown, others have started stocking up on vodka and brushing up on Cyrillic.
The Supreme Court has yet to respond, though reports suggest Justice Neil Gorsuch has been seen practicing Russian folk dances outside the courthouse.
Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
