The Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity’s Sport Beach is one of the biggest sports advertising events of the year.

The cream of the crop of sports marketing attends each edition, and 2024 will be no exception. This year, organizers even expect the presence of Taylor Swift accompanying her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Kelce and Swift are the couple of the moment. Since making their romance public last September, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the pop star have been gracing the front pages of newspapers and all sports and entertainment television spots.

Swift stole the spotlight during the 2023 NFL season by attending 12 games to support her boyfriend. Kelce, for his part, has followed his girlfriend across the world to be present at several of her Eras Tour dates.

With this background, it is not surprising that the organizers of Sport Beach are hoping for the famous singer’s presence at one of the most important sports marketing events of the year, where Kelce will be present this year.

Will Kelce bring Swift to Sport Beach?

Mark Penn, CEO of marketing agency Stagwell, recalled that Travis and his brother Jason Kelce will stream their popular podcast “New Heights” live this Thursday, hinting at the possibility that the “Bad Blood” singer might come to support the Chiefs star.

Speaking to the entertainment newspaper’s online edition, Penn stated, “We are having Travis Kelce here [Thursday] and it’s going to be a sell-out. People can speculate if he’s bringing someone.”

When asked by Page Six’s Erik Mesori about whether Taylor Swift would attend, Penn admitted that it was all a publicity stunt. “I doubt it, but all speculation is good in marketing,” Penn acknowledged.
